Driver Education Drivers
  1. Thank you all you drivers who signed up.  Since some of you signed up for several time slots, in an effort to share the love, you may have gotten only one slot.  If there is a cancellation, you will be considered. 
  2. Please be reminded that if your name is on the list and you have NOT validated your learners, you cannot drive and you need to let me know.
  3. Also, it is YOUR responsibility to remember your appointment and to be at it on time - I cannot chase you down if you are on break and you have forgotten.  Let your teacher know ahead of time you will be leaving.

Are you interested in being TMSS' Schulich nonmimee?  Here are the criteria:

  • Graduating this year
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
  • Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program at one of our partner universities 
  • Meet the following criteria:
    • Academic excellence, AND
    • Leadership, charisma and creativity.
      *Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need.
  • Be entrepreneurial-minded and intend to pursue a career in one or more of the following focus areas:
    • Technology;
    • Engineering;
    • Entrepreneurship and business enterprise;
    • Applied scientific research.
  • We are NOT considering students who:
    • Focus on activism (environmental/political/societal)
    • Intend to become a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
    • Intend to become a Professor and conduct theoretical research​​

​​To apply to be TMSS' Schulich nominee, email or speak to Mrs. Lee to get a school appiication form by Friday, Dec. 4.  Applications due to Mrs. Lee by Friday, Dec. 11.

Grades 10-12

Wize, a Canadian learning platform looking to help our local high school students through COVID-19. We have 2 scholarships, both of which are designed to be as accessible and easy as possible for students to apply for:

 

1) Gr. 12 Student Scholarship (https://wizedemy.com/scholarships/4)

  • $1000 cash
  • Designed to help students with the financial transition to post-seconary life
  • Winner(s) will be announced May 2021

 

2) Gr. 9-11 Student Scholarship (https://wizedemy.com/scholarships/7)

  • $500 in Academic Resources and Tutoring
  • Designed to help students through the foundational years of high school and be in a good position to apply for college/university once they are in Gr. 12
  • Winner(s) will be announced May 2021

 

For both these scholarships there is no essay(s) required, or any financial/payment info collected. They simply need to visit our page, click "Get Started" to sign up with their email, and click "Apply Now" to fill in the 3 minute form with a few questions.
