Limerick Contest

Limerick Contest - April 1-30, 2021.

Prizes awarded May 12, 2021

A limerick is a very short, humorous, nonsense poem. Within a limerick, there are five lines. The first two lines rhyme with the fifth line and the third and fourth line rhyme together.  The Limerick also has a particular rhythm which is officially described as anapestic trimeter - the poem has a beat to it.  https://www.poetry4kids.com/lessons/how-to-write-a-limerick/

Students and staff will have to log into their Office365 accounts to access the form.  One limerick per entry.  You can enter as many limericks as you wish.  Prizes will be awarded on National Limerick Day, May 12, 2021.

So let’s be creative, let’s be funny, let's be original.  No plagiarizing.  Poems must be school-appropriate.
